This beginner mat class series is taught by a Doctor of Physical Therapy and introduces you to the principles of Pilates including breath, elongation, alignment, segmental movement, core control, and coordination. You will learn about your own anatomy as you create balance in your mind and body. The class will include pre-Pilates exercises, as well as beginner exercises from the classical mat sequence. The use of props will be incorporated throughout class to assist movement.
