The Renditions concept creates a golf course with a diverse layout. The signature features of the holes Renditions attempts to replicate, such as pothole bunkers and the island par 3, provide most holes with a uniqueness relative to each other not found at many courses.
The course generally lacks dramatic elevation changes, but does contain plenty of doglegs and a reasonable variation in the hole lengths.
Is Renditions successful in recreating the holes it tries to emulate? Honestly, we don't feel comfortable commenting either way, as we have not played the originals. Nonetheless, independent of the answer to this question, the course is interesting and worth playing.
When we played the course in April, the condition was very good. No issues in that regard.
The carts contain GPS with touch screens that help you determine yardages. This is a really nice feature, and an important one as there are a lot of sand traps and water holes. High-handicappers: bring some extra balls.
The course is walkable. If you decide to go this route, pick up a yardage book for a few bucks in the Pro Shop.
If you are hungry on the course, there is a place to grab snacks on the 6th hole that you pass again on the 16th.
