Darin Volwiler is a yogi, sports enthusiast, and Capitals hockey fan, based in Washington, DC. Darin first began practicing yoga to speed athletic recovery. After time he began to see the mental and emotional benefits a regular practice has. This knowledge was enhanced more after taking his first Forrest Yoga classes. He completed his first 200-hour Vinyasa training in 2013. In September 2014, he finished the Forrest Yoga training with his teacher, Ana Forrest (forrestyoga.com). In 2016, Darin began the next phase of his teaching and training by becoming a Forrest Yoga Guardian-in-Training.
Darin’s view as a teacher is to embrace the “bad yogi” in each of us; specifically we are none perfect but with practice, we walk our path – both on and off the mat. He teaches that we are all perfectly imperfect and it’s our intention that sets the course. Through Forrest Yoga, Darin has learned to embrace the difficult with deep breath and awareness to the feelings that may result.
