In celebration of International Women's Day, Whitney Stringer PR & Events is hosting Strength & Soul, a women's wellness event to promote the importance of health and wellness as a significant element of women's empowerment.
The event is in partnership with Trellis House, a Bozzuto property nestled in DC's historic Shaw neighborhood. During the event guests will be treated to a workout led by SWEAT DC instructors Sarah Marr and Nazinga Thomas and a restorative breathing session and motivational health chat with Megan Sanchez of Upswing Health Coaching. Guests will all have access to Skin Scholar's Build-Your-Own Bath Salt Bar. Additionally Revive Events & Catering will be on-site with cocktails and brunch bites.
In an act of neighborly love, all attendees are encouraged, but not required, to bring a item off of the Ruth's House donation request list to support their important community work to help area women, children and families heal from lifetimes of traumatic abuse. Some list items include soap, detergent, cleaning supplies, bed sheets and more. The full list can be found here.
Strength & Soul is part of the Whitney Stringer PR & Events Wellness Series, and is a follow-up to 2018's Summer Sweat workout event held in Martha's Vineyard. The event will be led by lifestyle expert Whitney Stringer who is known for her work bolstering DC area health and fitness brands like SWEAT DC, Zengo Cycle, Cycled. Most recently Stringer was named an ambassador for Women's Health Magazine as part of their Action Heroes program, where she is joined by 99 other women across the country charged encouraging their surrounding communities to practice health habits.
