Grapplethon in Support of the Network for Victim Recovery of DC

Event Date:
Saturday, October 19, 2013 - 9:00am

From the Grapplethon Facebook page:" Join BETA Academy for a twelve hour grappling extravaganza to raise money for the Network for Victim Recovery of DC!

Here's how it works:
We will have at least one pair of grapplers on the mat at all times for the entire event. (Remember the dance-a-thons of yore? Well, this is like that, but with chokes and armbars.) There is no minimum requirement to roll -- you can join us for 12 minutes or 12 hours! All skill levels are welcome. Think of it as a big, friendly open mat. There will be prizes to raffle off for our fundraisers and participants!

The details:
There is no minimum donation, but anyone who donates $40 or more will receive a limited edition Meerkatsu designed t-shirt commemorating the event. 100% of proceeds will go to support NVRDC's sexual assault response services. You can register by visiting https://grapplethon.eventbrite.com/.

Want to help but can't participate? No problem! You can donate to NVRDC's Grapplethon page at https://grapplethon.eventbrite.com/. Just click on the "Grapplethon Donor" option. Any amount is appreciated.

The fine print:
All grapplers are welcome, regardless of skill, rank, age, affiliation, etc. Anyone under the age of 18 must have signed consent of a parent/guardian to participate. If you have any questions, please email Laurie@betaacademy.com.

A huge thanks goes out to our sponsors, Seymour "Meerkatsu" Yang (www.meerkatsu.com) and Origin Gi (www.originbjj.com).
