Has it been awhile since you have been downtown and enjoyed the monuments? Grant Hill's crew at MyBootcamp has developed a new way to experience the National Mall and it's called the Monument Dash ....
From MyBootcamp: "This Veteran’s Day weekend, race your way through DC’s Monuments in the fastest, funnest tour of DC in all of history! Assemble a team of four and together you will embark on a scavenger hunt style, ~10 mile race that takes you to each of DC’s major monuments in record time.
Veterans run for FREE!
The race will begin at the Iwo Jima Memorial with a moment of remembrance and gratitude for our Veterans. Start time is 9am and the race begins with a trivia question – the answer indicates which monument you will run to next. Mental sharpness, strategy and swiftness afoot are a must! Your team will be tasked with solving the clue at each monument and strategizing the fastest route to the next one! (No, you can’t hail a taxi, and yes you must be on foot the entire time, but you can use a smartphone for maps to plan your route). When your entire team arrives at each monument, locate the course volunteer in the red shirt who will be stationed in an obvious place, like at the top of the Capitol steps for example. They’ll give you your trivia question for the next monument. Answer it correctly, then snap a selfie of your team at the monument, load to Twitter (#monumentdash!) and off you go to the next one!
Shirts provided to ALL participants! Prize packages go to the top 3 teams with the fastest course completion times! (…Seeking sponsors!)"
