Experience the joy of flying through the air with the greatest of ease! Our flying trapeze classes let students safely experience the exhilaration of this extraordinary circus art, regardless of fitness level or athletic background.
First time students experience a brief “ground school” at the beginning of their first class to learn safety rules, how to take off and beginning flying techniques, and will soon be flying through the air working on their first trick – the knee hang. Students are fitted with a safety belt at the start of class, and are connected to safety lines from climbing the ladder until after they roll out of the net.
The final 30 minutes of each class are devoted to catching – yes, an instructor will hang from another trapeze bar and catch a flyer! If you’re still working on finessing your trick, not to worry – students can continue to practice (without attempting a catch) during the catch rounds.
Flying trapeze classes are two hours long and limited to 10 students so each participant can enjoy maximum time in the air and one-on-one coaching from three instructors. Unless noted, classes are all levels, allowing students to progress at their own pace and focus on an appropriate trick. As students advance and master basic flying trapeze skills, they will be able to attempt new and increasingly challenging tricks.
Socks are required; we also recommend yoga/running pants or leggings pants that cover the back of the knees. To maximize comfort of the safety belt, we also recommend a regular length (vs. crop or cutoff) shirt or athletic top.
Weight limitations and health restrictions apply. Contact the office for more information.
