The course has an interesting layout and for that reason is worth a visit. The greens were pretty fast relative to most public courses in the area. A little extra putting before your round will help.
We do have some gripes. The bunkers were not well maintained and probably should have been marked as ground under repair. There were no water coolers, which is borderline unacceptable even if the weather is cooler (~55F). Finally, on a Friday afternoon there was no ranger. Slow play, on a day the course was relatively empty, made the round unpleasurable at times.
Water and plentiful trees make many holes challenging for high handicappers. This is reflected in the high slope rating.
The course is very hilly and challenging to walk.
The flagsticks are red, white, and blue for front, middle, back flag placements. The course has black and white 150 yard markers, 250 yard markers on the par fives, and additional markers on the ground that are often hard to see.
The back of the scorecard shows the hole layouts. We strongly recommend that you check the scorecard before each hole because hazards are not always easily noticed due to large elevation changes.
