About:
Lisa is a world-renowned fitness expert, trainer, educator and motivator. She is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), United States Weightlifting Association (USAW) and the owner of Lisa Reed Fitness. LLC an in-home personal training, boot camp, group training, weight loss and nutrition company.
Lisa is the fitness expert for ABC 7 and News Channel 8 in D.C., and regularly appears on TV and radio programs such as WTOP, ESPN radio, Sports Talk Live with Glenn Harris, Let’s Talk Live, and the Pet Show with Dr. Katy. She has also been featured as an editor, model and athlete in Muscle and Fitness, Muscle and Fitness Hers, Oxygen, and Flex magazines.
Lisa has trained hundreds of elite and professional athletes through her coaching positions. She was the first female strength and conditioning coach at the United States Naval Academy, and she served as the strength and conditioning coordinator at the University of Florida. Most notably, she worked as the personal trainer/performance coach for tennis icon Monica Seles, cooking and preparing nutrition and fitness that helped her excel in her sport, winning five major titles.
Lisa has also earned top fitness honors herself, including being crowned USA Nationals Fitness Champion in 1999, and earning professional IFBB status, competing at both the IFBB Fitness Olympia and Arnold Classic.

Tell us a little about the classes you teach. Who are they geared toward?:
In-Home Personal, Group, and Partner Training. From professionals athletes to corporate employees, fitness models to busy moms and dads, we specialize in every age and phase of life!

If you could change one behavior you see in class participants, what would it be?:
We unleash out clients inner awesome. We apply LRF strategies and change the way clients think. "It is one thing to transform your client bodies, but if you reach for their minds, you really can transform their outlook and life as well." We motivate, inspire and educate our clients not just within a training session, but extend our care to when they are not training with us. At LRF, we enrich clients lifestyles by specific tools from self talk to mind muscle exercise connections. I am blessed for each and every client that trains with LRF is a part of our LRF fitness family.
Briefly describe your weekly workout schedule. Is it seasonal? How many rest days do you take each week?:
My weekly workout schedule varies. But one thing I do is create balance from loving to fit my leg days in to my total body bar circuits! My rest days are taken when I listen to my body, I give it rest. :)
How do you recover from a tough workout?:
ha! Awesome question. Well, my LRF fit family know my most favorite form of recovery is the 10 minute ice bath! It's a miracle cure for recovery and performance!
What is your favorite Washington D.C. area outdoor activity? Share a favorite hike or run.:
My favorite DC area activity is walking around town and finding a bench to get a strength workout in. You would be surprised what I see and what I can do to design a workout! :)
What is your favorite place in DC to get a healthy meal? :
I can get a healthy meal anywhere because I specifically ask for what I want! :)
