Start your weekend off right with a FREE Pilates mat class in Fairfax Station! Treat yourself to a fun and engaging 1-hour class designed for beginners and intermediates.
Mariska is freshly back from San Diego and her studies (punishing 3 hour workouts) with her teachers - students of Romana Kryzanowska and Jay Grimes (original students of Joseph Pilates). She's feeling inspired by the famous saying "Pilates doesn't get easier. It gets better."
Although Pilates is largely practiced by women, it was created by a man for men. And although she's happily not a dude, Mariska has trained with two of the leading male Pilates teachers in the world - one an athletic dancer and the other, a Muay Thai kickboxing champ. In this two hour workshop, Mariska will take you or the guy who comes to the workshop on your suggestion (dare) through two hours of challenging (grueling) Pilates exercises - 30 minutes each on the mat, reformer, tower, and chair.
$40 covers the two hours. Sore muscles will be free of charge
This intense mat workout will incorporate reformer on the mat exercises and classical Pilates mat exercises with hand weights, resistance bands, and the magic circle. Deepen your familiarity with Pilates' classical roots while experiencing the Fuse burn you know and love.
The 2nd Annual Broccoli City Festival will go bi-coastal! #BCFest, an environmentally conscious festival will be held in Washington, DC on Saturday, April 19 (Earth Day weekend), at Gateway DC and Los Angeles, CA on Saturday, May 3, at LA Mart.
Join us for an intense 90-minute session during which we will outline a Pilates program designed specifically with the runner's body in mind.
