I am a 3 year resident of Washington D.C. where I am an educator, health and justice activist, avid yogi, and home cook. I am the sole proprietor of Brilliant Body Movement, where I work to provide people for movement that is mindful, motivational, and in community with others. My dance and yoga practices are accessible to all levels and experiences and cultivate and expand students’ abilities to connect with their own bodies through movement. I encourage students to listen to and respond to their body’s needs and find enjoyment in and appreciation for what they accomplish in each class. My hope is that students leave class feeling a greater sense of connection to themselves and others, gratitude for their own abilities, and assurance in their unique strengths.
As a dance practioner, I have a background in competitions, performance, and choreography for gymnastics, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, bollywood, lyrical, and modern dance. As a Certified Instructor and Community Mentor for BollyX - the Bollywood Workout, I am excited to bring bollywood inspired dance fitness to DC rockstars like you in the hopes that it makes them smile - and sweat - and gives them the same joy that Bollywood has brought me!
I am working towards completion of my 200 hour yoga teacher certification through Yoga Alliance and excited to bring vinyasa yoga as an opportunity to balance my physical pursuits as I build my skills as both a yoga teacher and student.
