Please join Yoga Heights’ co-owner, Amy Rizzotto, Thursday, August 20th at 7:45pm for a Fundraiser Yoga Class in support of the Africa Yoga Project (AYP). AYP is near and dear to my heart. Having lived and worked in West and East Africa and mentored one of AYP’s amazing young yoga teachers, I’ve seen first-hand the impact this incredible organization can make on the lives of others.
Please make your donation online for this event before you arrive (suggested $20):http://www.gofundme.com/yoga4africa
According to their website, Africa Yoga Project empowers over 250,000 Kenyans a year through the power of yoga. Their 98 AYP teachers see no boundaries of sharing this practice. They teach in prisons, schools, special need centers, HIV/AIDS support groups, deaf schools and rural villages.
